Balmoral

Independent Building Group has been named a Master Builders award winner in the Regional category for our Balmoral Ridge project.

The build was a major extension to an existing family home, adding expansive living areas, a new master suite with walk-in robe and ensuite, a laundry and an integrated carport. Every element had to sit naturally against what was already there, so the finished home reads as one house rather than an old one with a new section bolted on.

Sites like Balmoral Ridge carry problems you do not get on a flat suburban block. Access is tighter, levels are rarely simple, weather has more say in the program, and services need more planning. The owners stayed in the home throughout, so the site had to be run cleanly, safely and respectfully for the length of the build.

Master Builders awards are judged by people who build for a living. They look at workmanship, planning, degree of difficulty and the standard of the finish, not marketing. Being recognised in the Regional category means the work stood up to that scrutiny, against other builders across the region.
